Working with adults.

Equal Psychology is a registered psychology practice for adults, with rooms in Kew and Croydon and sessions via telehealth across Australia. There are two main ways most people work with us, the areas we work in, and what sessions cost, all on this page.

Our services

Therapy

One-to-one psychological therapy with a registered psychologist. A space to make sense of what you are carrying and work towards what you want to change, at a pace set by you. We see adults, 18 and over.

ADHD identification

A structured process to explore whether ADHD fits your experience, using validated questionnaires and a clinical interview. The outcome is a clear written picture you can take to your GP or specialist. For adults, 18 and over.

For session fees, rebates, and what each service costs, see our fees page.

What we work with

These areas are listed separately for ease of reading. In practice they often overlap: sleep and anxiety, ADHD and burnout, trauma and chronic pain. Most of the work begins with making sense of how they sit together for you.

  • Anxiety. Adult anxiety: generalised, panic, social, health, and the avoidance that grows around them.
  • ADHD. Adult ADHD: focus, organisation, emotional regulation, and the cost of late diagnosis. (Page coming soon.)
  • Burnout & Stress. Burnout: work, life, and neurodivergent. Exhaustion, cynicism, and the loss of capacity that builds over time. (Page coming soon.)
  • Sleep. Adult sleep difficulties: insomnia, broken sleep, and the patterns that maintain them. (Page coming soon.)
  • Trauma. Trauma in adults: single-incident, complex, and the way the body holds it. (Page coming soon.)
  • Depression & Mood. Adult depression and low mood: major, persistent, and the moods that live alongside other things. (Page coming soon.)
  • Chronic health. Living with chronic illness: pain, fatigue, treatment burden, and the grief that comes with diagnosis. (Page coming soon.)
  • Older adults. Adults in later life: the transitions of retirement, ageing, grief, and care. (Page coming soon.)

Resources

Therapy is what we do here. We also write resources for people who are working through things on their own, or preparing for a first session. The three formats below run across every topic above. See all resources.

  • Answer. Short, plain-language replies to common questions, four to five minutes of reading.
  • Guide. Longer reads on a single concept, with proper citations and reviewer attribution.
  • Worksheet. Printable, fillable PDFs to use on your own or bring to a session.
